As BSNL already offer Free Optical Network Termination (ONT) equipment at free of cost for those customers who subscribes 600 and above monthly rental FTTH plans on PAN India basis, but now BSNL Non WiFi ONT’s may be provided to all Bharat fibre customers at free of cost who subscribe FTTH Plan of Rs.499 and above for a committed period of six month through channel partners under the Business case III model or directly from BSNL.
However, if customer surrenders his FTTH connection before expiry of six month (committed period) from date of activation, and ISP shall recover the same ONT and shall also charge from customer towards the use of Non WiFi BSNL ONT.
This amount may be recovered from the security deposit of the customer, and further after completion of six months only ONT is to be recovered from the customer, which may be deposited to BSNL store or may be utilised for new connections by ISP or FTTH channel partner.
Where the applicable charges for ‘Non-WiFi FTTH ONT’ security are to be paid by the customer in advance before installation.
